To raised loving and respectful sons and daughters, you must be a good example to them. They always do as they see and not always as they are told. Being a loving father and husband provides the proper example for them to emulate.

Born in Mexico City and growing up in several Mexican States, I arrived to the USA over 40 yrs. ago. Learned the language, enrolled in school and joined the workforce in my teen years.

One of my first jobs was working at the Montclair Plaza as a cleaning crew member. Mopping the floors every morning before the mall opened for business.
Moving on to a factory job at Matrix located also in Montclair by Montevista Ave. just north of the train tracks.

After a couple of years of working in factories, I switched to retail management, where I worked for 11 years managing stores for Payless Shoes. Including the one located at Mills and Holt Ave. where a Cardenas market later opened. As well as the one located at Central Ave. inside the Kmart shopping center, both here in Montclair.

After my retail management experience, I decided to joined the United States Postal Service, where I worked for 2 years at the Pomona office as a post carrier and later as a clerk

Finally, in 2002 I joined the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s academy and became a sworn peace officer for the state of California. Where I have served for over 24 yrs.
